The proposal form

When you request a proposal, we receive what you type: your name, organization, email, phone, site details and message. It's emailed to us and a copy is kept on our web server so a request is never lost. We use it only to reply to you and to prepare and run your job. We keep it for as long as it's useful for that, and we'll delete it if you ask.

To show you a ballpark price straight away, our server looks up the site town you type on OpenStreetMap, a free map service, to estimate how far it is from our farm. Only what's in the town box is sent, with no name or contact details, and the answer is kept on our server so the same town isn't looked up twice. See OpenStreetMap's privacy policy.

Client job pages

If you book with us, you get a private link to a page for your job. It shows the dates, the handlers and animals assigned, photos from the job, and a map of the grazing area on your property. It shows no contact or billing details, and only someone with your job code can open it. Search engines are asked not to list it.

Photos you send from your job page

Your job page has a button to send us a photo, with an optional short note. When you use it:

• Your browser reads when the photo was taken and, if the photo records it, where. Then it shrinks the photo before sending. If a photo taken just now has no location, your browser may ask once whether to share yours, and you can say no.
• We keep the smaller photo, a thumbnail, your note (up to 160 characters), and the time and place. We use them to put the photo on your job's timeline and map. The stored picture carries no location data, and exact coordinates are never shown on any page.
• Your photos appear on your job page, next to ours. Anyone you give your job code to can see them.
• Only a live job's code can send photos, and each job is limited to a few a day. Please only send photos of people who are happy to be included. Ask us, and we'll hide or delete any photo you sent.

What happens automatically

Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting. To deter spam, the form records a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, which can't be turned back into the address. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other sites.

Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to download them. See Google's privacy policy.

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only when we must to do your job (for example, with our email provider) or when the law requires it.

Your choices

Email us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We'll answer within a reasonable time.
